ARTIST OF THE MONTH: Ariana Grande

Happy August! And as usual we start off the month by unveiling the brand new Artist of the Month! This month the title goes to Ariana Grande who recently scored a number 1 hit with her single "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea.
Last year Grande found success with her debut album "Yours Truly" featuring the hit single "The Way" and this month she's back with her brand new album "My Everything" featuring "Problem" and the brand new Zedd-assisted "Break Free".
Also she features on the brand new Jessie J track "Bang Bang" which also features rapper Nicki Minaj. She's certainly one to watch this month!

ARTIST OF THE MONTH JULY 2014: Sia

Well it's that time yet again! Previously we've seen Shakira, Kelis, Lana Del Rey and Jennifer Lopez take the spotlight for a month but now it's the turn of Sia Furler!

Sia's highly anticipated sixth studio album "1000 Forms of Fear" comes out next week containing the hit single "Chandelier" as well as "Eye of the Needle", "Big Girls Cry" and "Elastic Heart". And even better, you can stream the album via iTunes! The project focuses on creating visual art through the continuous use of the blonde bob wig seen on different people so Sia can avoid public appearances and have some anonymity. The project sounds great and the tracks are really promising!

It's official! Artist of the Month for May 2014 is the sultry Lana Del Rey! Her new album "Ultraviolence" is released early June so that gives her a whole month to shine prior to the album's release!
Expect news, reviews and quizzes throughout May related to Lana Del Rey as well her totally taking over the appearance of the blog!

It's that time already! Last month saw Shakira take the title of Artist of the Month but now it's time for a new artist to fill in that position!

April 2014 goes to the brilliant Kelis. You might know her by her track "Milkshake" or "Caught Out There". Kelis is this months Artist of the Month as her new album "Food" is being released 18th April. You can listen to the tracks "Jerk Ribs" and "Rumble" via the links at the bottom of the page. Well it's Shakira's final day as Artist of the Month as tomorrow a new artist will be coming to take over for April 2014!

Here are some reasons why Shakira was a great Artist of the Month

• Shakira has donated over $45,000,000 to charity 
• She hasn't aged since 2001
• She's incredibly kind and loyal to her fans
• She works incredibly hard ensuring she has maximum input on the production of her albums 
• She doesn't need gimmicks during performances, she just stands and sings
• She can speak fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese
• She thoroughly studies the history and culture of every place she visit
